La Primavera Cross
“Behold, I make all things new"
Revelation 21:5

La Primavera, which is Spanish for “the season of spring,” has long been a favorite design of our customers. We believe the strong symbolism embodied in this design is particularly meaningful to many people and the somewhat folk art feel of the piece, as Dad designed it in the 1970’s, seems to give it a childlike and humble expression of faith.

The dove in the center of the cross is a sign of God’s reconciliation with man, based on the story of Noah’s Ark found in Genesis. It is also a symbol of purity and peace. The Ichthus at the very bottom of the cross is an ancient symbol for Christ, and the leaves, flower, and the sun on the arms and at the top of the cross relate to the warmth and new life of spring.

In this, our newest “Symbols of Faith” catalog, we are pleased to present many different designs which are also meant to express hope, encouragement, and inspiration.

With warm regards,
Chris Avery
