James Avery Celebrates a Mother’s Love in Online Stories Campaign

Jeweler invites customers to share stories about mom for a chance to win $1,000

KERRVILLE, TEXAS--(April 2, 2009) — In celebration of Mother’s Day, James Avery, a family-owned jewelry retailer, has launched the “Love to Share: Stories of a Mother’s Love” online event. Starting today, everyone is invited to share their story of a mother’s love for a chance to win a $1,000 James Avery gift card. Inspired by the “Mother’s Love” jewelry collection by James Avery, this campaign brings a refreshing look to motherhood and how a mother’s life can inspire those around her.

Participants are encouraged to submit online an original story and personal photos inspired by a mother’s love in their life. Each story is automatically entered for a chance to win one of two $1,000 gift cards. Visitors to the site will have the ability to choose one winner by rating their favorite story, and a panel of James Avery judges will pick the second winner. Each winning story will receive a $1,000 gift card, redeemable at any James Avery retail store or jamesavery.com.

“Our goal was to create an online forum that would celebrate Mother’s Day through meaningful stories.  Everyone can relate to motherhood in some way, whether it’s through our relationships with our own moms, grandmothers, wives, sisters, or simply our own personal experience being a mom,” says Marketing Manager Sara Hegener. “Every story will be different and special in its own way.”

On the event site, www.jamesavery.com/lovetoshare, each story will be reviewed and approved for appropriateness before posting. Once approved, the author will have an opportunity to share their story with family and friends via a James Avery e-card. Each approved story will be posted to the site and will be subject to receive rankings from readers.

“Our customers are a huge inspiration to us and we want to hear what inspires them,” Paul Avery, Executive Vice President of James Avery comments. “Honoring those special ways people connect to one another is an important part of our company’s mission.”

This campaign will run until May 10, 2009. To enter your story or for more information, please visit: www.jamesavery.com/lovetoshare.
