James Avery Opens New Location on Main Street in Fredericksburg

Jewelry retailer invites public to Grand Opening event on October 27th

KERRVILLE, TEXAS--(October 2, 2009)—James Avery, a family-owned jewelry retailer, announces today the opening of their newest store in Fredericksburg, Texas.  The new store will be located at 207 East Main Street, in the historic Schandua Building.The store will feature an extensive selection of typically hand-crafted designs offered in numerous metals, sizes and gemstones.  James Avery on Main will be open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Chris Avery, chief executive officer, notes: “The Texas Hill Country has been our home since the beginning over 50 years ago, so we are excited to share our jewelry with the residents and visitors of Fredericksburg.”

Built in 1897, the Schandua Building is one of the most recognizable buildings on Main Street in Fredericksburg.  Designated as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark, this building stands within the Fredericksburg National Historic District and is now home to jewelry retailer, James Avery.  This new location will be the company’s second store in the Hill Country, with the company headquarters, retail store and visitor’s center located 20 miles southwest in Kerrville.

With the addition of the Fredericksburg location, James Avery operates a total of 53 stores across Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Louisiana, Georgia and Alabama.  Customers can also shop online at www.jamesavery.com.

Guests are invited to attend the Grand Opening event at the new location on Tuesday, October 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Refreshments will be available and guests will have the opportunity to enter special drawings for jewelry and other prizes.  Members of the Avery family will be present to welcome guests and celebrate the store opening.  In appreciation of customers’ support, the Fredericksburg store will make a donation to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Texas Hill Country.
