A new jeweler has opened at the Shops of Saddle Creek in Germantown.

The store, James Avery, is a family-owned jewelry retailer known for its faith-inspired jewelry and charm collection.  It also sells earrings, bracelets, necklaces and rings for men and women.

Located at 7615 W. Farmington Blvd., the 1,400-square-foot store officially opened Wednesday in space formerly occupied by Crabtree & Evelyn.  The store, in Saddle Creek North, sits between Vera Bradley and The Gap.

James Avery is the newest addition to the Saddle Creek lineup but the shopping center will welcome two other tenants in the coming months, said Kenneth Taylor, Saddle Creek's general manager.

Teavana, a premium tea retailer, recently signed a lease for about 1,000 square feet and plans to open in early 2011.  Brookstone also is opening a 1,000-square-foot holiday location at the end of October that will remain open through the holiday season.

All three new retailers are opening in the original Saddle Creek North, which sits on West Farmington north of Poplar.  Including its Saddle Creek West and Saddle Creek South components, the retail center comprises 142,500 square feet and is about 95 percent leased, according to Taylor.

James Avery will hold a grand opening event Oct. 28 from 5-7 p.m.  The Germantown store is Kerrville, Texas-based James Avery's 58th location. Other stores are located throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.

Established in 1954, James Avery is a family-owned jeweler that offers high quality, typically hand-crafted jewelry in sterling silver, gold and gemstones. James Avery maintains over 1,000 designs in the active product line, with a large selection of Judeo – Christian jewelry and sterling silver charms.
Each design is originated by skilled men and women in the James Avery design studio and then finely crafted and produced by artisans
predominantly in the Texas Hill Country.
