A Charming Family Tradition

A Charming Family Tradition
In a home filled with children there’s always fun to be found and memories to be made. Mary and Paul, parents of seven, started a family tradition that helps their daughters capture and keep these memories.

Each girl is given a James Avery charm bracelet and most start with a Virgin of Guadalupe charm. (Ellie chose a, now much-coveted, duck charm in honor of her Grandma Susie’s love for the Oregon Ducks.) Then for birthdays, Christmas and other special occasions Mary takes each girl to James Avery Jewelry to pick out and add a new charm. The mother-daughter time is precious and before long the bracelets tell stories of life, love and faith as beautifully unique as the girls themselves.

For now, all six bracelets are in Mary's safe keeping and worn only to church on Sundays. But she knows they will leave the house someday. “These charm bracelets,” Mary says, “are a way for them to always have a piece of Mom and Dad in their hearts and homes.”

Boys have their
own kind of charm.

Simon just got his first piece of James Avery Jewelry: a St. Michael charm he wears on a leather cord.
