  • Our Associates will assist you with your return. If you're making an exchange, they can ensure your fit and size.

Please note: returns and exchanges for James Avery products are not accepted at Dillard’s, Army and Air Force Exchange Service locations or airport locations (i.e., stores located inside airport terminals). We apologize for any inconvenience.

Print and affix the created return label, as well as the
"Return ID Label" located on the front of the packing slip, to the outside of your package. Be sure to include the filled-out Returns & Exchange Form with your package to help expedite your return/exchange.

Ship your package using the options available on the label instructions. Please allow up to 10 business days from delivery for processing.

Our Returns & Exchanges Policy

For items purchased directly from James Avery, all returns made within 365 days, in new and unused condition and with a receipt or proof of purchase will be credited to your original method of payment. If we agree to issue a refund with no receipt or proof of purchase, the current retail price will be credited to a James Avery gift card.

James Avery products purchased through another retailer such as Dillard’s or AAFES may be exchanged for another product or returned for a James Avery gift card at any James Avery retail location if the items are in new, unused condition and you have a receipt. All returns and exchanges are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Do I pay postage for the return package?

No, James Avery offers free returns for all orders shipped within the U.S.

Can I return my item/s to a James Avery store?

Yes, you can return or exchange your item/s in new or like-new condition with proof of purchase within 365 days to any of our James Avery store locations. The only exceptions are Dillard’s and our airport locations (i.e., stores located inside airport terminals).

I misplaced the Return & Exchange Form that was included in my shipment. Can I get a new one?

Yes, click here to download, then print and complete the form. Please include the filled-out form with your package to help expedite your return/exchange.

What are my options for exchanging?

You have three options for exchanging:

  1. Exchange in one of our James Avery retail stores where a James Avery Associate can ensure your fit and selection.
  2. Return the item as instructed on the Return & Exchange Form and indicate credit to be issued, then purchase the replacement on a separate order either at JamesAvery.com or one of our James Avery retail stores.
  3. Use the Return & Exchange Form to return your item and we will send you your requested replacement item.

How long does it take to process my return?

The return is processed within 10 days of receipt. Refund to your credit card is dependent on bank rules and may take additional time.

How long do I have to return my item?

Items being returned must be received with a receipt on or before the 365th day since purchase. After 365 days the item/s will need to be evaluated for saleable quality in order to receive a James Avery Gift Card or value to process an exchange.

How do I return a gift?

To return a gift, you can follow the normal return process. Gifts can be returned within 365 days for a James Avery Gift Card or can be exchanged for another item. If you return your gift without exchanging it for a gift card or another item, the buyer of the gift will receive the value of the return on their original form of payment. Please make sure to indicate on Step 3 of the Return & Exchange Form how you would like us to process the return. For confirmation that we’ve received and processed your return, please provide your email address under Step 5.

I WOULD LIKE TO INSURE MY PACKAGE AND PAY FOR THE RETURN MYSELF. WHERE DO I SEND MY PACKAGE?

Package your insured items and enclose your name, address, daytime phone number and email address in the package. The mailing address depends on the shipping service you use.

Will I be notified when my package is processed or shipped?

If you would like to be notified about the status of your return/exchange, please provide a valid email address and/or phone number on Step 5 of the Return & Exchange Form.

Do I need to call the James Avery Returns Department prior to shipping my return/exchange item/s?

No, but if you need assistance with your return/exchange, please call James Avery Customer Service at 1-800-283-1770.

How will my Klarna return be processed?

All Klarna orders will be refunded to the original form of payment and processed within your Klarna account. Please visit Klarna’s returns FAQ page for more details.

Avery Handbag Warranty

We offer a one-year warranty on our handbags and small leather goods for manufacturing defects only. Bring your damaged handbag to your nearest store or create a FREE return label (see steps below) to ship your bag directly to us for assessment. We will replace the handbag if inventory is in stock. If not, we’ll provide a James Avery gift card for the full amount of the handbag to be used in any James Avery store or at JamesAvery.com.
