Texas Style Charm Bracelet
I finally started my Texas Theme bracelet so far I'm loving it
Love this bracelet
I got this bracelet as a bday gift and I'm in love! I have a fairly small wrist and no problem with its movement. Very very sturdy I work in retail and have no problem with charms being in my way not the bracelet quality. So happy I own this piece of craftsmanship!
Runs very small!!
I bought last month and have fairly small wrists and the medium was not fitting correctly. I do recommend going a size bigger that your normal size.
Love the light weight of it while I would wear it.
Perfect for the charm collector
I bought this for my niece last Christmas. Today she has 4 charms from me on it. She loves it very much. Fits her great.
I got my charm bracelet and 2 charms for Mother's Day! I absolutely love it, and my boys couldn't have picked better charms for me! My husband took advantage of the buy 2 charms and get a bracelet free.
Not My First, Likely Not My Last
Always a great opportunity to spend money I was not going to spend! Charms abound! Thank you JA for this promotion. This lightweight but well-made bracelet is a great gift as well as a way for me to continue collecting charms. While I have small wrists, I continue to order the 7" as a happy medium and have had no problem with the size.
I bought this bracelet last week in a medium because I read I should buy one size bigger. When I got it the medium was a little snug, went to the store to get a charm added. I asked the lady about the bracelet and she suggested the large. I tried it on but it was too big, so she said why don't I use one of the links to close it on! Perfect fit! So for people that are between sizes you can try that!
Impossible to Clasp
This bracelet is impossible to clasp without assistance from someone else. Flimsy.
Beautiful Durable Bracelet
I purchased my Forged Link Charm Bracelet about a month ago and I adore it!
Perfect size to add several charms too! I've already added 20 and intend on adding another 4. This smaller Bracelet actually holds quite a few charms and keeps its integrity. Don't be afraid to add Charms - it is the perfect base for any collection.
I did the free promotion and I'm happy I got this bracelet. I got the medium size and it seems to fit my average wrist. I have 15 charms on it right now and it looks great. I also have a double linked charm bracelet and I must say I like the look if this one better. I also like how bright the silver color is.
My mom bought this bracelet about 4 months ago and it's still in great shape I shower, sleep, and basically wear it 24/7. I was so amazed with the result my boyfriend bought me a new necklace with pendant
This bracelet was cute but looks real cheap and dinky! If you have the funds go with another style, unless your buying for a teenager of child!!
Caution: Needs A Warning Label!!
First, let me say I've been collecting James Avery for over 30 years and my collection and loyalty to his products is vast.
This was a promotional bracelet during the summers of 2012 and 2013. The first summer I collected a number of them through their "Buy 2 charms get the bracelet free" promotion. I had them made into necklaces which are fabulous. Most recently, however, from this year's promotion, I had charms moved from one James Avery bracelet to this one. It was a nightmare. Because the links are rolo style, they don't lay evenly, hence: when you solder charms onto every loop, they do NOT HANG EVENLY, but rather stick out in every direction, looking like a charm explosion. Because moving all my charms to this bracelet cost me $200+ I was very upset. I ended up having to purchase an entirely new bracelet. I chose the heavy double curb bracelet and had all the charms placed on it and it's amazing, but this was a very costly mistake, which resulted in more money being spent on a new bracelet. I'd also had another bracelet done on this one and didn't realize why I didn't like the feel of it until later. It's going on a new bracelet too! I'll have to round up more money to buy it and for the cost of transfers first though! This one digs into your skin and can leave an imprint because of the alternating links! I LOVE them soldered together as a necklace, but not recommending them for a bracelet with many charms. It might work out ok if you only place on charm on EVERY OTHER LINK, so they'll hand uniformly.
i got this for my birthday and i could not think of a better gift!
This is the very first linked bracelet that has ever fit my very tiny wrist!! Not only does it fit, it is comfortable to wear, hanging and sliding perfectly.... The quality is outstanding, just the right size links for me. I love the safety chain and the JA tag. Thank you, JA!!! (The only other bracelets I wear are the JA "And Lo, I am you always" in 2 1/4" and another bangle I special ordered in that same size.) So nice to have another bracelet I can wear and love to wear.
Very nice and beautiful bracelet
I got this bracelet for free as part of the promotion they had going. I must say this bracelet is so nice and beautiful. It does not look cheap like some people are saying. I recommend this bracelet to everyone :) I love it!
Elegant but runs small
I have been wanting a JA charm bracelet for a long time. And for the past 2 yrs, when they run the "free bracelet" promotion, I have been saying I was going to get one but, never did. Well finally this yr I took advantage of the promotion! It's very lightweight and elegant. I bought a medium, however I am taking it back tomorrow to exchange it for the large. Unless you are a very petite person or ordering the bracelet for a teenager, then I recommend you get the large. I can fit the medium but. there is very little slack and I plan on filling my bracelet up eventually with charms so I need it to be a tad bit larger. I would say small is for child, medium for teenager or petite adult and large would be for adult. I can't wait to exchange it so I can wear it. Oh yes, and the hanging JA tag on it is very cute! It really is a beautiful piece & I'm so excited that I finally got it & for free:)
I bought this bracelet in a medium and it fits very well. Pretty, elegant bracelet.
Of all the JA jewelry I own, this bracelet is the "cheapest" looking piece. Once filled with charms it may not be as obvious but I guess when it is free with purchase, you get what you pay for. The image online makes it look much more substantial. Average, at best.
nice simple light bracelet
I got this bracelet last summer and I have some heavy finials (2) and it holds up fine.
I also just recently purchased for my mom and she has just tow charms its very light and dainty.
If you want a chunky bracelet then this isn't it. It is very thin and light weight. Almost would look really cool to stack .
I love this charm bracelet. It's made of very high quality silver. My only complain is that the large size is a little too big for me and the medium is too small. Takes some getting used too. Doesn't fall off my wrist though.
I can't tell you how long I've been wishing James Avery would do such a promotion! Like another reviewer I decided that I wasn't going to fill it with charms so instead I picked two charms, had one soldered onto the other and then had them both attached right in the middle to commemorate 2 special people that came into my life this year. Oh and I do agree this runs small, I have the medium and have fairly small wrists and can't imagine the small fitting anyone but a child. What appropriate timing for this promotion! Thanks James Avery and I hope you keep this up!
I've always wanted a charm bracelet, so when I saw the promotion for the free bracelet with purchase of 2 charms I made sure to take advantage. I LOVE this bracelet and wear it every day! It does seem to run a little small. I ordered the medium size and it fits perfect on my small wrist. I would say the small size is probably a good size for children. The bracelet itself is very nice and not too big, which was one of my worries. Love the little JA charm that comes already attached too! Can't wait to slowly add to this one. This will be an heirloom.
Great Bracelet for the price
I have worn my James Avery charm bracelet for over 20 years now and love it. The Forged Link charm bracelet I purchased was to begin my own daughter's charm bracelet and was just too tight (her wrist isn't large for her age, just average). I would suggest - unless the person you are purchasing this for has an unusually small wrist - purchase the largest size (8"). This will not only be more comfortable to wear with charms but allow for some growth and last as long as mine has.
What A Generous, Appreciated Gesture!
I was on, yet another James Avery adventure with Staci. We had not heard of the promotion because it was just beginning. You can imagine our excitement when the sales ladies made us aware of the "Buy Two Charms and Receive a Free Bracelet" promotion! We asked about all the logistics, and once we were clear on those, off we went!
Rather than placing new charms on this bracelet, I chose to put the 2 new charms on my older bracelet (I have 90 charms and counting). Next, I decided this bracelet was so pretty just by itself...it's so shiny and just catches the light, so I didn't want to hide the links with charms, but rather place one substantial charm on it.
I checked out my jewelry collection when I got in and saw that I had my Spanish Cross (the larger version which is retired) pendant that I rarely wear and thought it would look great as a stand alone piece for the bracelet. I had it soldered onto it and it is gorgeous.
I too like the little James Avery tag that dangles off.
I purchased this for several other people and kept one back for myelf, as I'm thinking about creating an Angel or Cross themed bracelet (or perhaps mixing both) in the future.
Thank you so much Mr. Avery and all who made this promotion possible. After 30+ years of collecting your gorgeous jewelry, it's nice to feel appreciated!
Luv this braclet
Thank You so much JA..... I think this was a wonderful idea to give your customers a free item. I recieved my first JA braclet as a birthday gift a few yrs ago. I luv my braclet so much I decided to start a new one. The charms have gotten a little pricey, but if you want something you'll pay for it. I think it's worth the money anyway. I have quit a few JA pieces. I luv there items so much I lost one of my rings, and my ankle braclet. So I decided to repurchase them. Thanks ago JA
Very pretty, but a word on size...
I would like to begin by thanking James Avery for the kind gesture of offering this charm bracelet to their customers as a gift. The Forged Link Charm Bracelet is very pretty and very well-made. As much as I love it, however, I would have returned it had I paid for it. I wear a size 6.5" bracelet, which always gives me plenty of drape on my small wrist. Not so with this bracelet. I couldn't close the clasp at all, as the fit was far too small. I knew the style would fit snugger than a link that lays flat, but I've never encountered a 6.5" bracelet I couldn't fit into (I did measure the bracelet, and the size is accurate). Rather than pester JA Customer Service to set up an exchange for a medium, which would have been too large for me anyway, I lengthened the bracelet to a 7" with jump rings to get it to fit properly. I will offer this advice to those who place an order for this bracelet: you may very likely need to size up for a proper fit, or you may even find yourself unable to get a proper fit unless you alter one of the sizes. As long as you keep that in mind, it's a beautiful bracelet that should please most gals.
I love my new bracelet especially the little charm that says James Avery! Thank-you for giving back to your loyal customers!
