sliding heart locket
Wondering if I have one that is faulty. I cannot slide it. It does not want to move. Anyone else have that problem?
Just what I wanted
My husband bought me this for Christmas to put pictures of my 16 month old twin grandsons in. He had it engraved with my initials. I have wanted this locket for a long time and love the fact that I can reverse it. I received the template to cut the pictures, don't know how I would have gotten them to fit without it. I like dealing with James Avery. I own many of their pieces and have never been dissapointed.
Wish there was a template
My husband bought this for me to put pictures of our two daughters in. He said he debated between this one and the more expensive one, but got this one because we're trying to be practical with our money. He said a template came with the more expensive locket, but he asked the salesperson and they said it did not come with this one. A little frustrating that they can spare the template if you spend more, but can't spare it for this one. It's a pain to figure out the dimensions to get a photo to fit. It's a pretty piece of jewelry, but as a locket, it's a little frustrating. I'm a little disappointed.
Well-made and charmingly understated
I had been wanting this locket for awhile, but tried to save money by buying a cheaper piece of jewelry elsewhere. After wearing it constantly for 6 months, it was worn out, of course! So I decided to go ahead and look at this locket at the store.
It was equally charming in person. It is very substantial (no worries of breaking here) and the perfect size. I don't find it too heavy at all. I decided to have in engraved in the M1 style and it also compliments it very well. The locket is the same on each side, so the engraving does not always have to be displayed if you do not wish to.
JA is also kind enough to include a template for cutting out a picture. I do not think this piece will ever go out of style either. I do not regret my purchase at all.
I purchased this locket after my first child was born a few years ago. I love the idea of lockets to put pictures of your loved ones in them, but wanted something unique and this fit what I was looking for. This locket is very nice quality and very substantial. The sliding way to open it is something I haven't seen before and makes the piece that much more special. I wear this on one of the James Avery cable chains. I also had it engraved with my initials and it turned out beautiful. As always, I am never disappointed with James Avery jewelry. I can never have enough of this beautiful jewelry.
A slip locket is awesome because it gives a classic a new twist... The locket has an entirely different feel in person, and carries the same integrity that many JA pieces carry. It has a good weight to it and seems to be constructed very well. The engraving option allows you to personalize it for future generations to enjoy.
