Less of an antique look
Loved this item when I saw it in the catalog and really wanted to see it in the store and buy. Would have bought but do not like how dark and antique looking it is. The gold one is beautiful but I do not wear gold. Can you make this piece nice and shiny like the gold with out the dark antique look?
I received this as a Christmas gift this year. Before buying make sure the chain you choose will fit through the very small opening on the charm. I will be taking back the necklace my son bought to go with the charm as the opening is too small.
I received this cross in gold as a gift, gave one to my mom on her golden wedding anniversary and as a tradition I started giving it to my daughter and nieces ( in silver) when they receive their communion, but I now have two new nieces and am giving this cross as a gift for their baptism
Very tiny, but really pretty
I received this as a gift and suggested it after I saw it online although I had no idea how tiny it would be. For reference, it is smaller than a penny. I do love it though. It is very unique and vintage looking.
I have lots of charms and pendants. This is my favorite. Small and elegant, it goes with everything.
Special to My Family
My husband added this charm to my charm bracelet as a gift when my daughter was born. Her name is Evangeline, which means "bearer of good news". This was the perfect feminine, delicate, beautiful cross to reflect her name meaning! Now I am ready to buy my Evangeline one of her very own to wear as a necklace!
This charm has been passed down to all of the women in my family and is absolutely beautiful. I get TONS of compliments on it. I'll be ordering another as a gift for christmas this year.
a favorite piece
I was given this cross as a gift for my confirmation. That was almost 30 years ago. This is a timeless, beautiful piece I have worn daily the majority of these years. It is the only gold cross i own and want to own. The delicate and intricate pattern is always a conversation starter. I also own the ballet shoes charm from the same time period that are now on my charm bracelet.
I was looking for a fine piece of jewelry to purchase all the ladies in our immediate family. Something to hand down to our daughters and granddaughters. After perusing dozens of pendents from several of my favorite stores, I came across the Twisted Wire Lacy Cross. It captured my heart! Precisely what I wanted: not overbearing, small enough to wear daily if wanted, sturdy enough to do so. And exceptionally elegant; it rises high above the other pieces I considered. Beginning with my nurse daughter, I gave it as her birthday gift. She commented how perfect it was for nursing. Later, she said it was also a great conversation piece and it brought peace to many patients. My Hispanic daughter-in-law loved hers and said it looked like something made by a precision silver artisan from her home town. Today I bought my fashion designer daughter-in-law hers as a birthday gift. Now this gal does not wear jewelry... UNLESS it truly captivates her. And, it did! I'm ready to buy mine. When I mentioned I was going to get mine all 3 girls yelled, "NO! Don't do that. Let's go to the mall anyway we need (another product)." Obviously they were up to something. My necklace was ready to pick up, as they had called it in so I could wear it today. We all felt a special bond because we shared something of precise beauty and grace. One suggestion; it would be even better in white gold. The final test: My Mother-in-law who wears only gold and nothing trendy. I am 100% confident that she will adore hers too. Thank You, James Avery, for creating so many unique pieces to choose from!
As a collector of cross pendants I was intrigued by the unique blend of the cross and the hearts. I am petite and middle aged. The peice was much smaller than anticipated and the bail is tiny, calling for a rather fine chain. I like to wear my small pendants at choker length, with the piece being noticable without being too bold. I bought this over a year or two ago and considering todays gold market, it would probably be comparable to other company's considering size, design and price. I thought it was pricey when I bought it and saw how tiny it was. The cross is barely noticable. The points on the tips of the cross are designed in such a way that they reflect the light beautifully (but you nearly have to squint to see it).
I love Avery's. I am from Kerrville and have always boasted to friends about their quality and craftsmanship. I ordered this offline and I was disappointed immediately. It was not polished before being placed in the pouch, like it had been laying around for awhile. It does not have the texture it appears to have in the picture is has a rather flat surface on top. So bummed.. I will be returning it.
I originally purchased this cross for a teenage girl, and it looked absolutely lovely on her petite frame. I went back to the store and bought one for my charm bracelet. It's one of my favorite charms as the detail is just exquisite.
Could have been better
The Lacy Cross was a lot smaller than I anticipated. Not really worth the purchase.
Sunday School teacher appreciation
The crosses were beautiful but I envisioned them bigger. Thought the cross itself would be 7/8". The teachers loved them though.
