Own a piece of James Avery history. The Plain Latin Cross Pendant was the very first design by Mr. James Avery himself in 1951 and has remained in our line ever since. Its significance not only to the heritage of the company, but also to its meaningful interpretation that has made this men's cross pendant a timeless design that resonates with Customers again and again. This more conventional version of the Latin Cross depicts an X across the center to suggest the rope that was often used to hold the intersecting beams together at the cross lap. Available in sterling silver or gold and three sizes, large, medium and small. Pair it with a chain to make it uniquely yours.

Tarnished immediately while wearing but the chain was fine.

"I have A LOT of James Avery. This was the one piece I bought for my husband for our anniversary and I got him a curb chain. It turned black after a few days. I cleaned it off and it turned black again all while he was wearing it. The chain was perfectly fine which leads me to believe it was bad materials in the cross itself. I took it to a store and exchanged it. This makes me have worry about future purchases. I’m just glad they exchanged it for me"

Disappointed in the necklace.

"This necklace had to be replaced. It tarnished so badly that the store couldn’t get it clean. They replaced it and after two days wearing the necklace it started tarnishing again. The store sent it to Kerrville for plating. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in the product."

"Have to polish it constantly because it tarnishes more than any silver jewelry I have ever owned. James Avery also has no warranty and expects customers to pay for repairs or exchanges for jewelry that has factory defects and are only 3 months old."

"Love the style of the cross, very original, classic James Avery piece. Engraving was good but not as dark as my other engraved pieces. I’m guessing with wear and exposure to the environment then it will oxidize more. All in all, the cross look great and my son was very happy."
