Back in December I purchased the blue zircon. Happens to be my December birthstone. Love the ring and the stone sparkles like blue ocean water. The silver shines and really compliments the stone color. The ring is beautiful in its simplicity and perfect for what I like and my hands. This was my first James Avery jewelry and have purchased 2 other items since then. Love the craftsmanship!
Can mix and match
I have 4stackable rings! All birthstones of my husband, daughter, son and mine. I always get compliments on my rings!
Tokens of Love
I received these little gems for Mother's Day this year from my sons (9 years old & 4 months old). I love these rings because they serve as simple yet elegant reminders of my two boys. Although they don't stack perfectly on top of one another they still work well together. I plan on purchasing the Amor Stacked Ring to add another stacked ring to my set. I receive many compliments and enjoy telling others what the gemstones represent.
Enjoy wearing these very much!
I have 3 of these style rings so far, two in gold (January and October) and one in silver (August). I have had one of them engraved and plan to engrave the other two as well. I enjoy wearing these as a reminder of my boys and husband very much. They are sophisticated and stylish without being ostentatious. The gold is warm and the silver bright and white. The stones are a small, beautiful reminder of my three treasures. My eight year old particularly notices when I wear "his ring". The only con is that they do have a little space between when stacking directly, so I usually intersperse my wedding band or some other 2-3 mm band. I love these bands and will quite likely buy more. Thank you JA!
I ordered the amethyst ring when thy first came out. Stone was a bit small but still lovely. For my one yr anniversary my hubby bought me another. It was our daughters birthstone. This stone was bigger and loved the way the two rings stacked. In process in getting a third with my hubby's birthstone
I purchased this ring, with garnet, along with an amethyst and another with a blue stone, and the three rings are just lovely together. These work really well dressed up or down and have a fresh and modern, yet classic, look. Fun! These are the kinds of rings you look down at during the day with a smile. Thank you, James Avery, for this lovely, elegant simplicity.
I had been looking for a set of stacking rings that I could purchase to use as a family ring. Most of the ones I'd seen were very poorly made and I could not choose the colours I was looking for. I happened to be surfing on the web one night and found these and ordered them right away, I picked an amethyst, a white zirconia and a pink tourmaline in silver representing my parents and I and was very pleased when I received them! They stack well, but my preference would have been that they stacked perfectly, side by side with no space in between. The design does not allow for this because the stones are set in a sort of pod of silver and they don't sit nicely on the next ring. I had a couple of other stacking rings which were a swirl Balinese pattern and stacked them in between the rings so that my ring now has five stacks and they now fit beautifully, the contrast in bands is especially nice. I have received many compliments and I love going in jewellery stores and noticing the eyes of the sales people on my rings because under those lights they sparkle wildly! I absolutely love my rings and since I've received them I haven't taken them off. I also love that these are James Avery pieces and are stamped with his logo. This makes the ring designer heirloom quality for me. I also commend the fast shipping and careful packaging. It felt like a real gift when I opened it. Well done! I recommend these rings to anyone looking for a simple, yet elegant piece. They are truly understated elegance!
I ordered 2 of these rings (April and June) to wear as my grandmother's ring. I also had their names engraved on the rings. I love them. My grandchildren know that the rings represent them. My daughter also likes them and wants a set of her own. It's nice to know that I can hopefully add rings as I add grandchildren.
Sadly, Not For Me
I fell in love with the James Avery Remembrance rings in the catalog and online. I ordered three of these little beauties: my son's birthstone, my husband's birthstone, and my anniversary month stone. I'd planned on ordering a few more, but figured that three would be a good start.
When I received these rings, however, I was a little underwhelmed. I was aware that these are petite rings, as they're meant to be stacked and worn together, but I was disappointed. The stones weren't exactly too small, but it seemed like a lot of silver framing the gemstones when compared to the stones themselves. Also, the color of the stones wasn't as rich as I'm used to. The Alexandrite appeared a bit greenish-blue, the Sapphire a bit too glass-like, and the Garnet not the deep burgundy I'm accustomed to. I realize that the color of stones can vary greatly within the range allowed for each gemstone, but these colors didn't meet my expectations.
Also, I found these rings to be uncomfortable when stacked on the same finger. I ordered the correct size, and one ring fit just fine and felt perfect on my hand. However, when I began adding rings, I found that I probably should have ordered up a half size or more. When stacked, the rings felt tight and uncomfortable, and the rings had to be turned so that the stones alternated sides. Sadly, these rings just weren't for me. I exchanged these for other James Avery pieces that would better suit my expectations.
pause & reflect
I purchased the amethyst Remembrance Ring in sterling. The ring is beautiful- well crafted, simple, elegant, modern and clean. The amethyst is a striking deep purple- no pale lilac here! Since they are "made for stacking" keep in mind that this is a relatively dainty piece of jewelry. I had the ring engraved and despite the tiny band, JA did a marvelous job with the engraving. Lovely, understated, not a "statement" ring...this is a quiet reminder to the wearer of what the ring was bought the memorialize. It inspires just exactly what is was designed for: remembrance.
My girlfriend seems to always gets compliments on this particular piece wherever she goes. Don't let the size fool you. The subtly and class speak for itself.
One of my favorite rings from JA. Received as an anniversary gift from my hubbie. I enjoy how simple, yet beautiful this ring is. This the perfect gift for any woman, any age. Great everyday ring, no sharp edges to get caught on things & for the person that is hard on her jewelry.
A Lovely Christmas Gift
My daughter gave me the rememberance ring with the aquamarine for Christmas last year and it is absolutely beautiful. It is simple and elegant- just perfect.
I absolutley love this ring! I wanted a ring to replace my class ring from high school after I graduated. My parents bought it for me and we had it engraved with my initials. The engraving is kind of hard to see, but as long as I know that it's there, it still feels special. It's a great fit and is very durable! I work with kids and never have a problem with it getting in the way.
I bought myself Remambrance Rings for each of my three sons. They are wonderful young men now, all married and productive citizens. It's fun to glance at my hand and see the rings stacked - Diamond, Peridot and Emerald. Thanks, James Avery, for wonderful newer pieces! Still love the old designs, too, but these are really nice.
I love these rings. Fully met my expectations. I wear them everyday. Love them!
My husband got me remembrance rings for mothers day. I have one for each of my 3 children that I wear together on my right hand. They are beautiful and comfortable and will be a wonderful heirloom piece for my kids to keep one day.
Absolutely beautiful rings
I had been looking for birthstone rings to represent my children's birth months for my Mother's Day gift this year and was thrilled to find these remembrance rings. I ordered three silver rings with white sapphire, peridot, and amethyst, and had them engraved with my kids' names and birth dates. The rings are absolutely beautiful together, a perfect size for stacking. The gem stones have brilliant color, and the style is both classic and contemporary. I hope to purchase the matching pendants as well. One caveat: if you have small hands/short fingers like me, any more than three rings may not be comfortable to wear stacked.
Customer service was also great. There were questions about the engraving, so they called me to make sure everything was correct. I was very pleased with how quickly my order was processed and shipped.
In 2008 my husband and I had lost two babies. On Mother's Day of 2009 my Husband bought me the remembrance rings in Ruby & Citrine (the months the babies were due). I love them so much! It was the best Mother's Day gift he could have gotten me! Our Daughter was stillborn in March and I am hoping to get the "Puffy Heart" ring to stack with them with her initials on the top. These are the sweetest reminders of my angel babies.
I have two of these rings. One for my mom and one for my dad. A sweet reminder of them! I wear the two together all the time...
Remembrance Ring, Alexandrite
I just love this ring!!!! The color change is perfect! I got this ring a week after I bought the citrine remembrance ring. I wear them together and just love them!!!!!! You'll be very happy with them if you get them.
Great gift for moms
I got three rings - one for each of my children's birthdays - and am so pleased. They are so unique and it is so nice to have something that represents each of my children that is so classic vs some of the other things you see on the market. It is definitely one of the best gifts my husband has ever given me. I don't think dads can go wrong if they buy these rings for the mother of their children!
MY MOTHER'S MEMORY
My mom passed away 3 weeks ago and I purchased this ring with her birthstone, Ruby, to wear in her memory. I absolutely love it. Since I needed a size three for my "pinkie" the ring had to be special ordered, but I had it within two weeks. Great customer service and perfect fit! I plan to order one with my birthstone since they are "stackable."
Love these rings
I got two of these rings for Christmas for my 2 children's birth months. I have a baby due in June (but we didn't get June in case he comes in May), in which I'll get my third. I have the two stacked and will put the third on with them....they are so pretty...and mean so much to me!! JA always does beautiful craftsmanship...you can not go wrong with these rings. With Mother's Day coming up this could be the perfect gift for you Mom or Wife!
The color of the stone just pops ! I love to wear them nested. I've seen similar rings by other designers for double the price, smaller stones & not as weighty as these rings are. Have 2 so far & would like to add . . . great purchase !
I had been eyeing the Remebrence Rings at the James Avery store where I worked as a seasonal employee. After releasing an Remembrance ring order to a customer, I knew I had to order the ring for myself. I have three children, one with a January birthday and two children with May birthdays. The rings are gorgeous together. I wore the rings at work and had three customers order Rembrance rings because they liked how the rings looked on my finger. I did have to order a half size bigger than my normal ring size because I stacked the rings. I do wish that the rings could be made with white gold and diamonds. I think they would make a unusual wedding ring set.
This ring is very pretty on the hand. I bought the pink tourmaline in 14K. It is a deeper pink than the picture shows. It has a nice weight to it and has the craftsmanship and beauty one expects from James Avery jewelry. I am very pleased with the purchase.
These are BEAUTIFUL
I agree with both comments! I love gold and I got the peridot in gold and it is beautiful. The stone is very clear and prettier than on line or in the catalog. I love it so much that I want all the gems.
Thanks James Avery for a beautifull new style of rings.
the next big thing
James Avery, you've done it again. I thought dangle rings were ingenious when I first started collecting them in the 70s, and now the Avery Remembrance rings are here!
I had seen them earlier this year in the catalog as I contemplated what special jewelry I wanted to commemorate my 50th birthday. I thought they were somewhat interesting. But only after reading one of the stories you've posted did I realize you can wear several together. That makes them much more attractive to me, since they are kind of small.
I ordered the silver amethyst and ruby rings, my daughter's and my birth stones, and I can't tell you how much prettier they are in real life than any image I've seen in the catalogs or online. The stones are brilliant and bright, unlike an old amethyst JA ring that is so dark one can barely see the purple.
They couldn't be prettier. I'm going to add the peridot I think! I also have the three amor stackable rings and may try mixing and matching them too.
If you've been on the fence about trying these rings, please know that the stones are exquisite in color and sparkle, and they look ever-so-nice stacked. And a bonus to stackable rings is you get the width but without having to order up a size!
Thank you JA for yet another beautiful product line!
As soon as these Remembrance Rings became available, I had to place my order! I'm not married, and don't have any children, so I decided to purchase these rings in honor of my mother, father, and younger brother. Each of us were born in different months, so I love the color combination. These stackable rings receive lots of attention and compliments everywhere I go. Thank you, James Avery, for this new design. They will allow mothers, daughters, sisters, grandmothers, and friends to show off their special families.
